Q : The other day my gf told me she liked a certain type of German chocolate but i forgot what kind she said. I'm planning on starting to come up with ideas for V-Day early so I need to remember what type of chocolate it was. Maybe you guys could help by naming off random types of chocolate & i will recognize the name when i see it.p.s. Don't tell me to ask her because I wanna avoid that at all costs.

A : Depends on whether or not you want to make it from scratch or use a mix. Doing it from scratch can cost more up front if you don't already have a lot of the basic things in your house like cake flour, coconut, etc. However, once you buy cake flour it can be used for other dishes so it can offset the intial expenditures. Like you may already have flour, butter, eggs so an apple pie might only cost the amount it would take to buy the apples (unless you want to use the canned variety). And the pecan pie it might only be the cost of the pecan's and caro syrup.
Why is my german chocolate frosting so thin?
Q : I'm following the recipe on the inside flap of the Bakers german chocolate. However, when I make the icing, it's so thin. Even when I add extra coconut, it still slides all over my cake. What am I doing wrong?
A : try putting it in the refigerator for ten to twenty minutes then whip it using medium speed until desired consistency. if that doesn't work check the expiration dates of your ingredients.
