How can I make Chocolate Covered Pretzels without a double boiler?
Q : I would like to make chocolate covered pretzels for a party tomorrow, but all recipes are calling for a double boiler, but I do not have one. I was wondering how to make them without a double boiler. Thanks In Advance!!
A : You can melt the chocolate in the microwave very slowly but I've never had much success with that. What I would do is heat water in a saucepan and put a metal bowl over the top of it to melt the chocolate in. You can get a metal bowl at one of those dollar stores if you don't have one. This is in effect a makeshift double boiler. Good luck, sounds yummy!
How do you make white chocolate covered pretzels?
Q : Do you just buy everyday pretzels from the supermarket? and where do you get the white chocolate to melt?
A : Buy some pretzels and almond bark. Almond bark is basically white chocolate and any brand is alright. Then melt the almond bark for 3-4 and 1/2 minutes in the microwave on 50% power. Stir half way through melting. Then dip the prezels in it and put them on wax paper to dry.
**Only melt 16 oz. at a time.
Then, enjoy!
How can I make perfect chocolate covered pretzels?
Q : I have the chocolate that you can melt. Now I just need the rest. It is my mo's birthday and they are her favorite so any tips or recipes would be awesome
A : Put the pretzels in the freezer first for about ten minutes. The warm chocolate will solidify quicker so they won't be drippy looking. Make sure that you put parchment or wax paper on the cooking sheet before you put the dipped pretzels on it, so they won't stick. Get some white chocolate, they are really good too.
I want to sell chocolate covered pretzels, peanuts etc how would I keep them from melting it's outdoors?
Q : This would be done at rallies and I would be under an easy up.I am concerned the heat may melt them.
A : You could carry around styrofoam coolers, with dry ice in them ..... or save the chocolate for cooler months. When it's hot, sell cinnamon coated nuts; popcorn balls or cookies that won't melt......
